BEER & CIDER LIST

  • Are dogs allowed to attend the festival?
    Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed across the event site, including camping, except for assistance dogs.
  • Is the festival open to the public on Wednesday 23rd October?
    Wednesday 23rd October 12 pm until 5 pm will be our Trade, VIP and Camra Members only day. If you are a publican, brewer or supplier to the brewery industry and would like to attend the Trade Day please email us at Megan@renaissance-kelham.com Trade session attendees on Wednesday, October 23rd, will be the first to hear the announcement of the prestigious Champion Beer of Britain Judging Final and will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from the winning breweries. The festival will be open to the general public on the Wednesday 23rd October 5pm until 10pm, and then all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Please check out our 'Whats on', for more details
  • Is there disabled parking and access?
    We have a disabled parking area in the car park near the entrance. The Festival is fully accessible; with ramp access to all of our internal rooms and external areas, however, please ask our volunteers for assistance if you are encountering any difficulties.
  • What is the ticket refund policy?
    Unfortunately no refunds can be issued on advanced tickets.
  • Are gluten-free/vegan drinks and food available at the Kelham Hall Beer and Cider Festival?
    We strive to offer a diverse selection of drinks and food to accommodate all tastes and preferences. If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to ask our bar staff or catering teams.
  • Will there be water at the bars to rinse my glass out?
    There will be various water points throughout the festival for you to clean your glass and have a drink of water. If you’re not sure where your nearest water point is then please ask at a bar. Our festival glass is for you to take home as a souvenir. If you would like a clean glass, please visit the glass station and we will exchange it for a clean glass. There are no cash refunds on the glass.
  • Are there any discounts for CAMRA members?
    Yes, Weekend Tickets are just £7 for CAMRA members
  • How often will the bus shuttles run and where do they run from?
    A complimentary free bus shuttle will run from both Newark Castle and Newark Northgate railway station to the Kelham Hall Beer and Cider Festival. These shuttles will run on a loop from 11:30am until 11:15pm (Wednesday and Friday) and 11:30am until 10:45pm (Saturday). Please note there will a limited number of coaches running at the same time. Please look out for the pickup location at the stations which will be sign posted.
  • Will there be somewhere to sit and tables to eat at?
    This is an indoor event set within our magnificent Great Hall and Marquee. Limited seating will be available, guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
  • How many beers will be at your Festival?
    We aim to have 150 beers and 30 ciders / perries at our Festival. Please note that we can’t guarantee that every beer will be available during each session. We only serve beers that are ready, which might not be available right away. If your chosen beer isn’t on tap, it could be for one of the following reasons: - The specific beer we advertised wasn’t secured however, there will likely be an alternative from the same brewery. - The beer is still in the process of being prepared. Patience is key; it may become available later. - It’s possible that the beer has sold out if you arrive later in the session.
  • Are children allowed to attend the festival?
    Yes, there will be entertainment throughout the day for children. Under 18s are allowed to attend the Festival until 5pm on each day. After 5pm the event is strictly over 18s only. There is no charge for children to attend.
  • Will there be bag searches?
    Yes, we will be conducting bag searches at the entrance to the festival.
  • What food will you be serving at the Festival?
    There will be a number of food options available throughout the 4 day festival including Burgers, hotdogs, vegetarian burgers, Chicken curry, chickpea curry, BBQ Pulled Pork Baps, Chip Butty's, Hog Roast (available Saturday only), Ploughmans, and pork pies.
  • When will the CBOB winner be announced?
    The Champion Beer of Britain winner will be announced during our trade and CAMRA session on Wednesday 23rd October 2024. Winner will be announced at approximately 4pm.
  • Do you operate a cash bar or token system?
    We operate a beer card system. These can be bought upon entry to the Festival and the bar servers will then mark off the cost of each drink as it is purchased. The beer cards cannot be used at the catering outlets. No refunds will be made on beer tokens at any time, however you can purchase small denominations. Please ask for more information at the beer token desk. Beer cards make it much quicker to serve you at the bar.
  • Where is the Kelham Hall Beer and Cider Festival?
    The event takes place at the Renaissance at Kelham Hall, a 19th Century Stately Home, in the heart of Nottinghamshire.
